About DVCR
Desert Valley Christian Ringers (DVCR) was organized in the fall of 2008 and serves a unique niche in the metro-Phoenix area. The group exists to serve as an advanced adult community handbell choir dedicated to enriching people’s lives through this special musical art form. Under the musical direction of Dwight Vilhauer, the group’s primary focus is to bring advanced sacred and secular handbell music into a variety of venues in the greater Phoenix area and beyond. We also exist to provide an avenue through which like-minded dedicated musicians might be able to apply their ringing skills in an advanced handbell choir setting. As a self-supporting AZ non-profit organization, the choir seeks to not only advance itself as one of the premiere community handbell choirs in the state of AZ, but also feels a special Christian responsibility to support and assist other non-profit and service oriented organizations in the metro-Phoenix area. Are you interested in joining DVCR?
Auditions are not required to become a member of the choir, but all potential ringers must complete the application. Additionally, all musicians must have at least 2 years ringing experience and/OR have substantial training on another musical instrument.
